2023-24 Discovery Link Welcome Newsletter
Discovery Link is an on-site, licensed, school-age childcare program, serving students in grades ECE-5. For more information, visit the Discovery Link website or contact the Hallett Academy Program Director, Anntoinette Hackney at 720-424-6097 or 720-692-8775, anntoinette_hackney@dpsk12.org. This program is offered through the Department of Extended Learning and Community Schools.
Registration is ongoing throughout the school year–all new families must submit a completed registration packet that includes: immunization record (provided by a physician) and a current general health appraisal form signed by a physician.
Completed registration packets are accepted at the Discovery Link Office, 1617 South Acoma Street, Denver, CO 80223, Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00pm or they may be emailed to discovery_link@dpsk12.org. Contact the Discovery Link office at 720-423-1781 for additional questions.
Effective after school programs bring a wide range of benefits to youth, families and communities. Afterschool programs can boost academic performance, reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe, structured environment for the children of working parents. (youth.gov)

Every second Monday of each month throughout the 2023-24 school year, Hallett Academy will have Non-Student Contact Days. This means that your child will not be attending school those days, but has the opportunity to attend through Discovery Link.
If your child is not a before or after school Discovery Link participant, they can still be registered to join Camp Days on the Non-Student Contact Days.

Join them for ECE-5 summer camps at the following locations; Eagleton, Goldrick, IAC at Harrington, Marie L Greenwood @ McGlone, Oakland @ McGlone, Barnum @ Valverde, Ellis @ Lowry and Kaiser.
