We are uplifting fellow DPS students at Hallett!

Thomas Jefferson student Mya Robinson is a student in Mr. Howard’s graphic design class. Although she is new to design this year, she won her class’s design competition with the banners that she designed for us!

Mya Robinson stands between the two Hallett banners she designed.

We had Mya’s design printed and we plan to use these banners at job fairs, recruiting events and school events. We’re thrilled with the design Mya made and our Hawks are too. A select group of outstanding students who are interested in design got to meet Mya, see her banners and ask her questions.

Meet Mya:

I’m a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School, and a graphic design student. Although I’ve had no previous background nor interest in design, I’m always the kind of person looking for a creative outlet, and I have a passion for photography and other art forms. In my free time, I often find it fulfilling when I’m able to incorporate those passions into many of the creative projects I’m assigned to in this class. If I had a quote of some sort of a saying to pass along based on my limited experience in design and other passions I’ve pursued, it’d be to not let the fact that you’re new to something keep you from pursuing it.
