Library/Computer - Megan Pulis

At Hallett Academy of Science and Technology, Students have time in the library and the computer lab to enhance classroom learning. Students attend the library on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the students are working in the computer lab.

During the time spent in the library , students engage in literature responses, author studies and research. They are also acquiring library skills - from identifying fiction and non - fiction sections of the library to citing references.

During computer lab time, students are able to utilize the district's wonderful online databases, Worldbook Online and Newsbank as well as many other sources on the internet to create in-depth research projects. We are also establishing a publishing center where students may take work created in the lab to a final, published product.

It is through the time of the integrated research in both the library and the computer lab that students at Hallett Academy of Science and Technology are give every opportunity to become effective users of tools, ideas and information to meet the standards of Denver Public Schools.
