Ill Se7en is Coming to Hallett!!

Say what?

Yeah – Ill Se7en … he’s the real deal and he’s coming to Hallett to work with our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. In collaboration with the LINKS – we have a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with a phenomenal artist in the very near future! I had the tremendous opportunity to meet Ill last week and find out more about him and share stories and videos about the remarkable young people he will impact in the very near future.

Who is Ill Se7en?

Well, you can find out more about him here …

The week of April 11th through the 15th. I know, I know … most of us will be taking PARCC that week. Ill will be working with our 4th graders in the morning hours and with our 3rd and 5th graders in the afternoons for 45 to 60 minutes each day throughout the week.

Inspire, bring joy and mentorship to the Hallett community (students, staff and families) by bringing a professional artist to the school community.
Create a “coolness” around writing and communicating.
Guide students in producing one piece of writing of which they’re proud.
Leave a piece of writing permanently installed at Hallett to remind and inspire the community after our program finishes.

A huge thank you to the Denver Links and La Napoule Art Foundation for making this opportunity happen!

Dear Mr. Sanders,
Allow me to introduce myself as the Marketing and Events Manager for I hear that you had a most awesome kick-off to your schools “Change for a Change in Haiti” fundraiser. Thank you so much for keeping this program and helping us to make it even better this year.
Susie asked me to extend her personal gratitude to you as she is travelling on her way to Haiti this week.  She is excited to tell her kids more about your students.
Would you be able to have the teacher’s share the short video below with their classes? (it is an 8 second thank you video from our kids in Haiti)  If they are unable to show the video, can you have the attached photo printed and displayed in their classrooms? We want your students and teachers to know that are kids in Haiti are grateful and cheering your students on.
